WELCOME TO ECHO LIFEBOAT

Here is everything you need to inform and supplement your games of ECHO LIFEBOAT!

PLAYER SAFETY: This is a space horror game and may feature violence, gore, body and psychological horror, player character death and themes such as isolation, grief, impending doom and suicide. Also your friends are definitely gonna screw you over.

SOLO & DUOS rule changes

SOLO: There is an upcoming dedicated solo adventure for ECHO LIFEBOAT but you can also play the regular game in solo mode. The following changes take effect:

-There is room in the lifeboat for 1.

-In setup, deal yourself 1 infection card but do not look at it (regardless of which version you are playing). Remove the other card from the game without looking at it.

-Give yourself 1 first-aid kit regardless of other starting inventory.

-If an event would lock you in a room from which you have no means of leaving, you may improvise a solution and make an attempt to break the hatch.

DUOS: In duos the following changes take effect;

-There is room in the lifeboat for two people.

-In setup, remove both Jokers and shuffle them with two random cards from the deck, then deal 1 infection card to each player and remove the other two cards from the game without looking at them. This means both players have a risk of being infected (or just one, or neither).

-Give yourselves 1 first-aid kit regardless of other starting inventory.

-If an event or player action would lock you in a room from which you have no means of leaving, you may improvise a solution and make an attempt to break the hatch.

how to print and fold up the game

You can print up the game and play it flat but if you want to fold it up into a handy little zine, here are the steps:

1. Print it double-sided on good paper. If the paper is too thin the QR codes can easily smudge. If this happens just print it up flat.

2. Fold it in half lengthwise, as accurately as you can. If your fold is off, unfold it and try again.

3. Fold it in half width-wise, again, pretend you’re doing origami.

4. Fold the wide sides into the middle line. You should be left with a paper that has been folded into 8 rectangular segments. Each section of the rules should be in one of these segments if you did it right.

5. Using a guide (a metal ruler works best) and a knife make a cut from the inside intersection of the four rectangles on one side to the same spot on the other side.

6. Fold it over width-wise and begin folding it into pages. Push the sides together to open the slit you cut and then fold the pages it creates down. Finish folding them together.
